During the second day of a high-profile homicide trial in Ensenada, Mexico, a father gave emotional testimony regarding the deaths of his two sons, who were killed during a surfing trip two years ago. David Robinson, the parent of victims Jake and Callum Robinson, stated that his life has effectively become “hell” following the tragedy.
The trial is proceeding against three defendants charged with the murders of Jake Robinson, 30; his older brother Callum Robinson, 33; and their friend Jack Carter Rhoad, a 30-year-old United States citizen. The group was in Ensenada on Mexico’s Pacific coast in April 2024 when the fatal incident occurred.
On Tuesday, Mr. Robinson took the stand to provide details about identifying the bodies of his children. The case has drawn significant international attention due to the ages of the victims and the nationalities involved, marking a continued judicial process more than 24 months after the event.
