President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are assessing whether to dismiss Kimberly Guilfoyle, the US ambassador to Greece, following multiple reports alleging she engaged in improper, and potentially illegal, activities prior to and throughout her time in Athens.
A senior US official stated on Sunday that both the president and the secretary of state are “extremely pissed off” by the reported behavior. Officials expect to reach a decision on the appropriate course of action later this week, after the upcoming Monday federal holiday.
