Paris Fashion Week 2027: Audacity, Movement, and Sensuality Define SS Collections

The Spring-Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collections at Paris Fashion Week were defined by a blend of audacity, dynamic movement, and sensuality, as designers interpreted freedom through diverse aesthetic lenses.

For Weinsanto, audacity translated into a sense of lightness deeply connected to the LGBTQ+ community. At Issey Miyake, the focus shifted toward sensuality grounded in the Japanese concept of ‘Ma,’ emphasizing the empty space that exists between the garment and the wearer’s skin.

Yohji Yamamoto, now 83, continued his relentless pursuit of emotional resonance in his designs. Meanwhile, designer Alain Paul channeled his passion for rave culture, celebrating bodies in motion.

Closing the thematic loop, Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent created a striking synthesis of gold and black, presenting a collection that served as a vibrant celebration of personal freedom.

The show was presented by Pascal Mourier for the Fashion segment, highlighting the latest trends emerging from the runway.

  1. Alain Paul’s rave culture influence was a fun surprise. Not what I expected from Paris couture, but very energetic.

  2. I loved the Issey Miyake concept of Ma. It feels so refreshing to focus on the space between skin and fabric.
