Reinvent Yellow Sales has officially added SkyShowtime’s “The Homicide Unit” and Iceland’s “Fjord” to its presentation roster for Mipcom.
Both series are crime dramas centered around top female investigators portrayed by renowned Nordic actors. Swedish actress Pernilla August, known for roles in “Blackwater” and “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” stars in “The Homicide Unit.” The production is handled by Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) Sweden.
Meanwhile, Icelandic actress Anita Briem leads the cast of “Fjord.” The acquisitions mark a significant addition to Reinvent Yellow’s slate, highlighting the growing international demand for Scandinavian detective narratives.
Finally, some strong female leads in the crime genre. About time we saw this representation!
