Apple TV Adds Uplifting Comedy ‘Small Prophets’ to Strong 2026 Lineup

Apple TV+ is continuing its successful trajectory in 2026, bolstering its content library with the addition of Small Prophets. As the streaming platform works to match the output and popularity of competitors like Disney and Netflix, it has deliberately diversified its programming portfolio throughout the year.

The service has already delivered a wide array of titles, ranging from OnlyFans-inspired dramedies and the horror-comedy Widow’s Bay to the highly anticipated returns of Ted Lasso and Silo. Small Prophets now adds another distinct voice to this expanding collection.

Though the six-episode series originally premiered on the BBC earlier this year, it will soon be available for streaming on Apple TV+. The comedy follows three Catholic priests in England who find themselves unexpectedly raising an infant girl after she is abandoned at their church. Described as a heartwarming narrative, the show blends themes of faith, community, and unexpected fatherhood.

The addition of Small Prophets highlights Apple TV+’s strategy of curating a broad spectrum of genres and tones, aiming to appeal to varied viewer preferences while maintaining high production standards.

  1. Three priests and a baby? I’m intrigued, but honestly, I’ve seen this premise before. Hope it has more depth than just fish-out-of-water jokes.

  2. Wait, did Apple license a BBC show instead of producing an original? Curious to see how they market this compared to their usual high-budget originals.

  3. Finally, some wholesome content that isn’t another dark dystopian thriller. This sounds exactly like what I need right now.
