CBS News’ “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” is set to air its October 4, 2026 episode, focusing on the final stretch before the midterm elections. As the voting countdown begins in earnest, the program will delve into the latest polling data to gauge the political landscape.
Anthony Salvanto, the network’s executive director of elections and surveys, is scheduled to break down the numbers and discuss what the current data indicates for candidates across the country.
The broadcast will also feature exclusive interviews with prominent political figures. Sen. Mark Kelly, a Democrat, and Zach Lahn, the Republican nominee for governor of Iowa, are both confirmed to join the program to discuss their campaigns and key issues.

Is Zach Lahn a real candidate? Iowa governors usually have more name recognition by now.
Kelly’s race in Arizona should be tight given these polls. Hope they discuss healthcare impacts.
