The vibrant photographs of Moroccan-British artist and photographer Hassan Hajjaj are currently on display at the Philharmonie in Paris, featuring 40 works from his acclaimed “Rock Stars” series. Hajjaj is renowned for capturing some of the most prominent figures in music and pop culture, including Madonna, Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Cardi B, and reggae legend Lee “Scratch” Perry.
In the exhibition, Hajjaj explores the unique dynamic that occurs when a global superstar poses for his camera. His distinctive style is characterized by a vivid fusion of his Moroccan heritage and the street culture of London, creating instantly recognizable portraits that celebrate artistic iconography.
Hajjaj’s signature tag-style photography really pops. London meets Marrakech in the best way possible.
Does anyone know if the portraits include rare shots of Amy Winehouse? That would complete the set for me.
Honored to see Moroccan heritage celebrated so vibrantly on such a prestigious global stage in Paris.
Madonna and Billie Eilish in one room? I need tickets immediately. Absolutely incredible curation.
A stunning blend of cultures! This exhibition sounds like a visual feast for the eyes.
