The second installment of The Celebrity Traitors is set to air tonight on BBC One, marking what is being billed as the British television event of the year. Following the success of the inaugural series last year, which delivered numerous memorable moments and elevated the show’s status as a premier celebrity booking, broadcasters are keen to see if this year’s participants can uphold that high standard.
The return of the deception-based competition raises several questions about the lineup, including which figure Michael Sheen will portray in his latest role and how quickly James Blunt will reach for his guitar. Viewers will also be watching to see if mathematician and broadcaster Prof Hannah Fry proves to be too intellectually formidable for the game, alongside testing the depth of the friendship between comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan.
In addition to the high-stakes intrigue of The Celebrity Traitors, the evening’s programming includes new episodes of Long Lost Family, offering emotional journeys and searches for separated relatives.
