The country is rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for filmmakers. Notable projects include the filming of new Indiana Jones and Batman installments, with Glasgow’s city center doubling as New York and Gotham City, respectively. Additionally, the Highlands and islands have served as backdrops for Outlander and The Odyssey.
Visual landmarks are also driving a rise in screen tourism. Ardross Castle, recognized as the oldest location featured on Celebrity Traitors, serves as a key stop on the Scottish tourist board’s dedicated trail. The show is set to premiere on Thursday night, further highlighting the intersection of tourism and television production in the region.
