Investors have grown accustomed to investment returns that were significantly distorted by historically low interest rates. According to market analyst Bianco, a yield of 5% on bonds and 6% on stocks represents a more grounded and realistic expectation for the current economic environment.
This shift in perspective has led Bianco to take a bullish stance on U.S. Treasury notes. Despite maintaining a critical view of Treasuries since 2020, the strategist now identifies compelling value in these instruments, pointing to the substantial yield cushion provided by the 5.25% rate as a key driver for reconsidering their position in the market.
