US actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, have shared the heartbreaking news that their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona, has died.
In a statement released to Page Six and People, the family described Fiona as a “beloved” child who was “smart, creative and loved to dance.”
“She was a loving young girl,” the statement read. “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
The family also included a public service message at the conclusion of their statement: “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
Lowe, who is the brother of actor Rob Lowe, rose to prominence after winning an Emmy Award in 1993 for his role in the television series Life Goes On. His subsequent credits include appearances in Pretty Little Liars and Supergirl.
Alongside Fiona, Lowe and Painter are parents to two other daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
She loved to dance, that’s precious. I hope her sisters have strength to support their parents through this.
