The blockbuster musical Wicked has produced numerous chart-topping hits, but its cast members have their own personal favorites to perform. Even after more than 1,700 shows, stars like Broadway legend Idina Menzel and composer Stephen Schwartz still find joy in specific tracks.
Menzel originated the role of Elphaba, the misunderstood green-skinned witch of the West, in both the original Broadway production—where she won a Tony Award—and the West End run. She also recently made a cameo appearance in the film adaptation. Despite the sheer volume of performances, Menzel and her fellow troupe members continue to sing with passion, each highlighting a particular song that resonates deeply with them.
