US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated unequivocally that a foreign actor was involved in the suspected bomb plot at RAF Fairford in the UK, just hours after five arrested suspects were released on bail.
Speaking to Fox News on Monday evening, Rubio emphasized the severity of the incident. “What could have happened in the UK over the weekend is a very serious situation,” he said, adding that the evidence “clearly involves the hands of a foreign actor.”
Rubio did not provide specific evidence to substantiate his claims during the interview. He also noted that many individuals were disturbed by the decision to release the five suspects on bail.
